extnd app privacy

The apps do not send desktop content, camera images, pairing credentials, or usage activity to the developer. They include no advertising, tracking, or developer analytics services. There is no developer-operated cloud relay.

The Mac captures its virtual display and sends video to the paired iPhone over an encrypted local connection. Content on that display is visible on the receiving device. Optional touch control sends input events back to the Mac. extnd does not create a saved video recording of the session.

Local network addresses and Bonjour discovery help devices find each other. While hosting, the Mac’s extnd service is discoverable on the local network. Other devices can observe service and network information. Use a network and receiving devices you trust.

Camera access scans the Mac’s QR code on the iPhone. Processing stays on the device; extnd does not save camera photographs or send camera images to the developer. Manual connection is available without camera access.

The code contains the Mac’s pairing identifier, name, and connection key. Saved pairing information stays in the devices’ Keychains, configured for this device only and not synchronized through iCloud Keychain. Manual credentials are not added to saved pairing.

Keep the code and key private: someone with them may be able to connect to the host on your network.

Revoke permissions in Settings or System Settings; the functions that depend on them may stop working.

Use Forget pairing in iPhone Connection details to remove a saved Mac. To invalidate shared credentials, stop hosting on Mac, open Advanced & touch input → Advanced, and choose Reset pairing. Previously paired devices must pair again. Forget old entries on those devices too. Do not rely on uninstalling alone to remove Keychain information.

Stop hosting to end streaming. There is no cloud account or developer-held desktop archive to delete.

Apple handles App Store purchases and may process store activity, diagnostics, crash reports, and TestFlight feedback under its policies and your settings. Apple may make purchase reports or diagnostics available to the developer. These services are separate from analytics built into extnd. See Apple’s privacy policy.

The app’s no-tracking statement does not apply to this website. gxace.com runs on Squarespace with website analytics and a Meta pixel; website and download hosts may process access logs. See the gxace.com website privacy policy. Unrelated apps whose windows you display have their own data practices.

If you send a support message or privacy question, the information you include is disclosed to its recipient and the services handling that message. Do not send pairing keys, QR codes, private desktop contents, or passwords. The statement that extnd does not transmit app data does not cover information you independently choose to send.
